We run an intervention programme in school called FRIENDS Resilience which helps to teach children coping strategies and methods to support their mental health and wellbeing. The Australian based programme is aimed at boosting confidence and self-esteem. The programme uses the acronym FRIENDS to remember the key skills taught including understanding feelings, relaxation, a positive outlook, support networks and a ‘can do’ attitude. The programme has been proven to be effective in supporting positive peer relationships and attitudes towards learning.
