Diversity Council

Aim- The aim of the Diversity Council is to promote equity, inclusion and belonging across school. Through our inclusive and diverse curriculum, we aim to ensure that all children feel able to be their authentic selves while attending Darras Hall Primary School.

 

Do- The children participate in council meetings, the planning of celebration events and assemblies (including PRIDE, Black History Month and the suffragette movement) as well as attending workshops with members of the community.

 

Protected Characteristics- Our council members have played a vital role in introducing the Protected Characteristics (Equality Act) to our school. Please watch our video below to learn more.
