Year 5 have been learning about the Slave Trade in Britain. Using a variety of sources, they are beginning to understand the circumstances of the time and the suffering endured by so many African people. They have studied the different roles Britain played in the trading of humans as slaves and about how several local people are important to the story, for both positive and negative reasons.
