and fixing techniques with adult support and also during self-initiated play.

In key Stages 1 and 2, children gain DT experience using a range of
technology kits including those with gears, pulleys and motors. In addition,
they are encouraged to make their own design plans, follow the plans of
others and find solutions to given problems or scenarios. Much of this work is
covered through a cross-curricular approach.
